About the Journal

Espacio ECP Journal (ISSN 2452-5383, online version) publishes original articles related to Carl Rogers’ Person-Centered Approach and its lines of development (Focusing, Pre-Therapy, Expressive Arts, Motivational Interviewing, phenomenological and existential contributions, Child-Centered Play Therapy, among others), as well as its application to various fields (psychotherapy, counselling, education, community work, etc.).

Submissions may include empirical research, case studies, theoretical reviews, essays, book reviews, and accounts of professional experiences, among others. The journal publishes its articles on an annual basis, that is, one volume per year. Manuscripts may be written in Spanish or Portuguese.

This journal is developed by Espacio ECP - Núcleo de Estudios y Formación en Terapia Centrada en la Persona, an organization dedicated to training, research, and dissemination of Person-Centered Therapy (www.espacioecp.com).

Its aim is to contribute to knowledge in the field of psychology in general, and to the Person-Centered Approach in particular, with an emphasis on Latin American realities.

The journal is open access, and all articles published in each volume are available free of charge. It is especially intended for professionals and students related to mental health, education, and the social sciences.

Articles are received on a rolling basis throughout the year. Before submitting their manuscripts, authors should read the instructions for authors. Submissions must be made by creating an account on this website.

Periodicity

Starting with Volume 7, to be launched in 2026, the journal will maintain an annual publication frequency but will adopt a continuous publication model. This means that each article, once received for review and accepted, will be published immediately.
