Open Access Policy

Revista Espacio ECP provides open, free, and unrestricted access to all its contents, with no charges to authors, readers, or institutions. Published articles are made immediately available online, allowing their reading, downloading, copying, distribution, and printing, in accordance with the terms of the Creative Commons license indicated by the journal.

Open Science Policy

The journal adheres to the principles of Open Science, promoting transparency and openness in the components that support research communication, such as methods, data, and, when applicable, materials or software used.

Within this framework, the journal accepts the submission of manuscripts previously disseminated as preprints, which are not considered prior publication, provided that this condition is declared at the time of submission, the corresponding repository is indicated, and the preprint license is compatible with the journal’s editorial policy.

The journal also encourages the deposition of research data in open access repositories—whether institutional, thematic, or generalist (such as Zenodo or the Open Science Framework)—promoting the adoption of the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable).

The journal aligns with the TOP (Transparency and Openness Promotion) Guidelines at a recommendation level, encouraging the appropriate citation and referencing of data, methods, and materials, insofar as this is methodologically and ethically appropriate.

The availability of data used in published articles is strongly recommended, except in cases where ethical, legal, or confidentiality restrictions apply, which must be explicitly stated by the authors.
