Abstract

In this work, we start from the hypothesis that non-verbal language is an expression of the person, in the same way that the content of their narration or feelings are. In the tradition o the Person-Centered Approach, very little is evoked the body and its manifestations, this leads us to ask ourselves if the theory of this approach allows us to take into account this meta-communication. The following question will be discussed: Is an intervention directed towards the client's body expression person-centered? The different objections will be analyzed before asking ourselves how the person-centered psychotherapist can approach the corporal manifestations of his clients, being consistent with the philosophical premises of the person-centered approach.
