Abstract

This work presents a scale, elaborated in Spanish and validated in Mexico, to evaluate the growth promoting conditions that it establishes in Person Centered Approach. The scale, its elaboration process and the content validation process are presented, as well as the reliability and statistical descriptive indexes of the same. The Scale was applied to 60 therapists and counselors of this approach, obtaining a reliability (alpha of cronbach) of .764. The scale has three subscales: unconditional positive attitude, congruence and empathy, which are scored separately, also include the form of qualification and the interpretation of the results. Having this instrument can be a valuable support for the formation of counselors and therapists in this and other approaches, as well as for research on the effectiveness of the processes of counseling and psychotherapy.
