Abstract

The National Service for Minors, currently called Better Childhood, is in charge of protecting children’s rights. This article is a theoretical review, where initially the fundamentals of SENAME (Better Childhood), its technical guidelines, user profile, family profile, the intervention process, deadlines, and the unspecific actions to be carried out by the workers are described. Then, some basic concepts of the Person- Centered Approach are described. Finally, it is concluded that this approach can contribute to interventions with children, adolescents and their families who are part of SENAME, therefore, it would be a great contribution if it were considered in the technical guidelines of the institution
