In the present article we discuss the link between rogerian basic attitudes and some main aspects of the ethics of Jesus of Nazareth. First, we analyze the concept of unconditional positive regard and the idea of christian agape. We will also focus on the relationship between rogerian empathy and the concept of compassion in the Gospels; lastly, we will go through some points of contact between the rogerian concept of congruence and Jesus’ authenticity. A review of the four gospels is made, and the main works of Carl Rogers is made by convenience. As a conclusion, we found that there are important points of connection, and it opens the chance for more in-depth research.
