Abstract

This article pretends to present alternatives and proposals from the Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), to enrich the psychotherapeutic accompaniment of female experiences of Romantic Love (RL). To achieve this purpose, a previous theoretical description is made of the model proposed by Carl Rogers, RL, and the point of view of the therapy regarding romantic relationships and/or partner. With this, we seek to generate reflections from the integration of both themes (PCT and RL). As a result, the repercussions of internalizing the romantic love model for women are exposed in a general way; Justifying therefore, the relevance of accompanying and psychologically addressing their experiences and/or love situations. Finally, practical considerations are presented from the PCT; Describing the benefits that would be obtained by working attitudes such as: actualizing tendency, non-directivity, Conditions of worth and empatic understanding in individual clinical work with women.
