Abstract

This work is about psychotherapy in the fragile process; its characteristics, origins, and how to support clients with this style of experiential processing are explained. The goal is to describe the necessary elements to understand the experience of these individuals and their therapeutic support. To achieve this, a theoretical review was conducted based on Warner's perspective. Subsequently, I describe some of my experiences as a therapist accompanying clients with this type of process, incorporating ideas from Rogers, Gendlin, and Vanaerschot in this section. In conclusion, clients with fragile processes respond well to person-centered therapy because it allows them to have control over the content, form, and pace of the therapeutic process, as well as the personal and non-hierarchical connection in the therapeutic relationship.
