Client-centered therapy, or person-centered therapy, developed by Carl Rogers, is a therapeutic approach based on the premise that each individual possesses internal resources for their own growth and self-regulation. This article represents a narrative of experience regarding how client-centered therapy for content moderators is a viable alternative in immediate response contexts. Therapeutic attitudes such as empathy, authenticity, and unconditional acceptance are essential in this mode of work, and non-directivity allows the client to guide the process, promoting self-exploration. The implementation of this therapy model has shown to enhance the emotional well-being of content moderators.
